We continue with Stephanie and Michael

Pretty Chic Blog - Modern Scandinavian Weddings, Archive Stephanie Michael - DIY details
We continue with Stephanie and Michael's beautiful English wedding. arizona If there is something I can not stand, it's arizona when it shines through the wedding couple has embarked upon to create their own beautiful arizona and homemade details - and so I thought that a post just focusing on the beautiful creations on her space. We continue Think Photography's beautiful pictures and Stephanie's words:
I had studied arizona some wedding blogs for a while, and had a pretty clear idea about some of the things I wanted to include for our wedding. In the style of my wedding ring, we would like to have an antique and "homemade" expression that was intimate and personal in relation to us.
I fell in love with a short 60's cream colored, beaded dress, which also inspired some of our other choices. Our wedding cake and Mikey tight-fitting suit was also 60's inspired. But then one day when I was shopping with my mother, I came across a dress in a completely different style. A long dress of silk in antique look. Eventually I could no longer stand for the new dress, and ended up winning over the otherwise arizona too great short dress. But shrewd as I was, I ended up having arizona the short dress for wedding sample. So in the end, I was actually married arizona them both. Almost;)
Our biggest challenge would prove to be our budget. We kept costs down where we could, without arizona sacrificing style and phrase of the day. We served buffet for lunch, sandwiches and scones with what that entails, and lovely roast suckling pig as the main course in the evening. It ended up being much cheaper and far more relaxed than food potioneret and served at the tables. To save money, both the dress and the suit bought as they were in regular retail stores, and the top layer of the wedding cake was made of papier-mâché covered with the same glaze as the true layer. We also had a whole table full of cakes that my aunts even had homemade, and it just so beautiful out. We even stood for purchasing, bonding and arranging the flowers, which saved us a small fortune.
We decided cloves as "main flower", which I was quite happy as they are not only budget-friendly and can be obtained arizona throughout the year, but since they are a symbol of love and most importantly, they were my grandmother's arizona favorite flower. It was perfect to have a memory of her incorporated in the day.
As confetti we chose rose petals because they smelled wonderful, so beautiful, and at the same time environmentally friendly, which made our pastor happy. arizona (In England, do you use confetti to throw at the bride and groom instead of rice)
Almost everything about our wedding was homemade. My aunt Christine tied bouquets the day before the wedding arizona and arranged all the floral arrangements in the barn on the day. My bridesmaid Hazel subordinates, among a million other things, all of our beautiful paper pompoms. My mom made, with the help of her siblings, hearts arizona of lavender and pompoms of tulle, which so beautifully decorated church instead of the traditional arizona flowers. arizona My lovely friend and colleague Nic, helped to transform my ideas for our stunningly beautiful table settings, and oversaw the decoration of the barn with an army of our closest family and friends at her side. I stamped the napkins we used the gifts to the guests (wedding favors), with the customized stamp Nic had made for us.
Table plan was made on canvas with luggage labels, antique-style, as our guest names were handwritten on. We had an antique look table where our guests could write us a little note in a homemade guestbook as Nic had made as a surprise to us, in the style of our invitations. There was even a little competition for the little ones, in the form of a jar filled with buttons where the number to be guessed. Mikey's mother arizona had reclaimed several antique dealers for different types of services that were used for decorations around the tables in the barn. She also read a poem for us in the church which she did something so beautiful.
